Michigan Coast to Coast Race

On May 12th Mason Geiger, Tim Devlin, Noel Howett, Adam Helfrich and Kyle Downs attempted to go a new distance by racing in the Michigan Coast to Coast Race. This race would stretch the width of Michigan by cycling 212 miles in one day. Oh, did I forget to mention that it was all off road. They traversed gravel roads, double track trails and ATV trails. These 5 guys got to see parts of Michigan that few of will ever see from the seat of our cars. All 5 of the guys did a great job with Mason leading the group and just missing the sunset on the coast of Lake Michigan. All of these guys said this was by far the hardest thing that they have done on a bike. If you see one of these guys, ask them about their experience. Each one would share with you the things that they learned and the ways that they grew in this experience. They certainly went a new distance.

We also had the opportunity to support writer and sponsored racer Selene Yeager. Here is a link to her article for Bicycling magazine. We also supported a gentleman by the name of Joe from Kalamazoo. It was great getting to know these two and I am thankful that we were able to serve them on their big day as well.

If you have an event planned or maybe one that you have already done and would like to share your story of going a new distance, please let me know. I would love to have you share your story. If you would like to attempt the Michigan Coast to Coast next year, the date is June 22nd. I am sure that there will be a few people who would love to do it with you.
