The Lord is my shepherd...

Aw, look at the cute little lamb. One of the most recognized passages in Scripture is Psalm 23. I learned something new about this passage this past week while listening to K-Love Radio. I believe it was Levi Lusko who was talking about how the word "sheep" or "lamb" never appears in this passage. He went on to say that none of us would second guess the fact that David is leading us to identify with a sheep. This is evident by how he opens the chapter. "The Lord is my shepherd.." He goes on to point out that the more we know who God is, the more we know who we are. Today so much emphasis is put on discovering who you are and becoming more in touch with your own person. When we begin to identify God and His place in our lives, the more we realize who we are. We we see God as the Savior of the world we see that we are sinners in need of saving. What are the ways that God is making Himself known to you today? How has God revealing Himself to you helped you to understand who you are? It was a reminder that I needed this past week.
